Mirror of your self-worth

When someone loves you, that person wants to see you grow and do better.  You don’t need to keep interpreting their behavior because their actions should align with their words.  You shouldn’t be trying to figure out what their intentions are and if they real.

That’s not how it works.

Why should you always be using your good energy on people who you need to figure out.  Wouldn’t you rather spend that time investing in someone who shows up exactly as who they say they are.  Someone who adds to your life not takes from it.

Again, it comes down to what relationships we feel we are worthy of having.  When I say relationships I don’t mean only romantic, it could be family, friends, just people in your life that you spend time with.

When you understand your worth you will not entertain anything less.

I realized everything comes down to self-worth.  Knowing that you are worthy of having relationships that help you grow, that feed your soul, that support your goals and dreams, these things make you contemplate the time you spend with people.

Relationships have a big impact on your emotional well-being.  This is why spending time with the right people who value and respect you is so important.  Your emotional well-being is first created by you by setting boundaries and then by the people you surround yourself with.

The boundaries you set are a mirror of your self-worth. They show how deeply you value yourself and how much respect you have for your own peace.

When you set boundaries, you are not pushing people away. You are showing them how to treat you. You are teaching the world what you will and will not accept. Boundaries are an act of love, love for yourself and love for the relationships that are meant to grow in truth and respect.

Healthy boundaries protect your energy. They remind you that you do not need to sacrifice your well-being to be loved or accepted. When you know your worth, you stop explaining, apologizing or shrinking to make others comfortable. You stand firm in who you are with quiet confidence and grace.

Remember, the people who truly care for you will honor your boundaries because they honor you. Those who cannot respect them were never meant to stay close.

Setting boundaries is not selfish. It is self-respect in action. It is a declaration that you matter, that your heart and peace matter.
