Reflecting back on my life …

As I look back on my life, I see that a lot of what I have been through was created by me. The struggles, the pain and the suffering were all part of the story I was writing without even realizing it. I was living out my own creation all these years. Yet if I had not gone through all that, I would not be where I am today. It takes suffering to awaken the soul. To crack you open in ways nothing else but pain ever could, stripping you of illusion, ego and certainty, until all that remains is truth. Pain has a way of breaking you wide open, not to destroy you, but to reveal who you truly are beneath the layers you’ve built to survive.

I believe it is part of our life’s journey to face challenges and learn from them. I am not angry or disappointed with myself anymore, because today I take full accountability for my life.

I have learned that when I want something deeply and it does not happen, it is not a punishment, it is protection. It is the universe gently and sometimes firmly, guiding me away from what is not meant for me. Often, the very thing I wanted most was never truly mine to carry.

I have reached a place now where, when something does not unfold, I let it go. In the past, I would cling to it, replay it in my mind, dream about it endlessly and suffer for it. Letting go felt like failure then. Now I understand it as wisdom. Through these moments, I learned how to detach from need. Because needing, clutching, forcing, insisting, only creates suffering.

I understand now that if something is meant for me, it will not require force. Resistance is already an answer. When something is not happening, it is simply not meant to be and I release it with trust. What is meant for me will always find its way to me.

These words have become a guiding lesson in my life. What is truly yours will never pass you by. And what does not add to your life, what drains, diminishes, or confines you, will be kept from you, or gently taken away, to protect you. So I no longer wish for what refuses to work. I recognize it for what it is: a blessing in disguise.

When we finally become aware that we are the creators of our own life, every desire, every decision and every thought becomes a step toward a better version of ourselves.
